Party for a Purpose
Danielle and Ille had a great time at party for a purpose. This is a great event that supports the Monticello Cancer Center. There was a 5K walk/run, silent auction, and food! It was a beautiful day for a wonderful cause!
S.A.V.E Walk for Thought
Danielle was invited to attend the Walk for Thought for SAVE (suicide awareness voices of education). She joined her friend Debbie Larsen, who was the team captain. Also our newly crowned Mrs Minnesota Global United Illeana Miller was with as well!
Macy's Passport Presents: Glamorama
Danielle had a fantastic time at Macy's Glamorama, which benefited Children's Cancer Research Fund! The show was a phenomenal combination of music, dance, and the latest fall trends from Macy's!
Wright County Fair Amateur Talent Contest
Danielle had a blast hosting the Wright County Fair's Amateur Talent Show. There was a HUGE crowd, and all of the winners were very excited to win!
Riverfest: Grande Day Parade
Danielle had a fantastic time at the parade. She rode in a gorgeous car with her dear friend Debbie Larson, who is the Women of Today Petite Elite National Queen! The weather was perfect for a parade, and Danielle got to see many of her friends along the route!
Riverfest: Art in the Park & taste of Monticello
Danielle had a great time at art in the park and taste of Monticello! This event is held in Ellison park right on the banks of the beautiful Mississippi river. There were many different vendors with everything from lawn ornaments, to pottery, to kids dress up and toys. There were also restaurants from all over Monticello that were selling a delicious variety of foods to eat!
Riverfest: Block Party
Danielle was honored to once again attend the events at River Fest in her home town! Here she was at the Annual Block Party which kicks off the week of celebrations. She also got to have a cup of the "Best Wild Rice Soup" in MN. Her grandmother works a the cafe it is sold at. Check out the link to the news story about this delicious soup HERE

Hat Drive Delivery at Children's Hospital
Danielle and her family delivered the hats to Children's Hospital in Minneapolis. While she was there she got to see one of the child life specialists that helped her while she was a patient there over 20 years ago. Danielle and her family also received a public spaces tour of the hospital after the 2011 re-model!!!
Hat Drive for Children's Hospital
Danielle had a hat drive for the patients at Children's Hospital and Clinics of Minnesota. Thanks to many generous donations, she was able to collect 302 hats that will go to both the Minneapolis and St. Paul Campuses.
Minnesota International Pageant
Danielle was delighted to attend the Minnesota International pageant. This pageant system is truly special to Danielle, as she competed in it for the past three years, and made so many great friends through it!!!! Congratulations to the new Royalty Teen Rachel Flynn, Miss Gabrielle Taylor, and Mrs Kimberly Stommes!!!!
Star Studio at Children's Hospital: "Makin Friends"
This was a very special and exciting appearance for Danielle. Children's Hospital is where she had her cancer treatments over 20 years ago, and if it wasn't for their dedication to helping children, she probably wouldn't be here today! Star Studio is a special closed circuit TV station for Children's Hospital in both Minneapolis, and St. Paul!!!! Coon Rapids Jr. Royalty Coronation
Danielle was honored to attend the Coon Rapids Jr. Royalty Coronation!! All of the candidates did a wonderful job, and it will be great to see them throughout the year at different events!!!
"Strike-Out" Domestic Violence: Team Bowling Challenge
Danielle and several of her Global United pageant sisters participated in "Strike-Out" Domestic Violence!!!!! Over $2,000.00 was raised that day to help put a stop to domestic violence!!!!
Gilson's "Cancer Sucks" Benefit
Danielle was very happy to help at a cancer benefit for one of the physicians that works at the Allina Medical Clinic in Buffalo. This is the Clinic where she receives a lot of her "every day" medical issues. Even though there was a blizzard going on outside, a ton of people came out to support Gilson!!!! Also there was Debbie Larsen Mrs. Minnesota Petite Elite Today's American Woman!!!!!
Minnesota Federation of County Fairs Convention
Danielle was excited to once again be able to attend the Minnesota Federation of County Fairs Convention. She got to meet with many different vendors, and got to try a NASCAR simulator!!!!
Wild 4 Weston Benefit
Danielle was invited with her sister queens to a benefit for Baby Weston. Weston was born with a Congenital Nevus which covers most of his back left side. He currently has expanders in each side of him to make skin for skin graphs. The benefit was to help raise money for his medical, and travel costs. He will have to have the procedure done several times throughout his life, and has to travel to Chicago for treatment. Erin and Wendy brought a basket for each member of the family, the pictures above are from when his sister received her "princess" basket.

Ten Outstanding Young Minnesotans Award Ceremony
Danielle was honored to be chosen as one of the Ten Outstanding Young Minnesotans by the MN Jaycees. She was nominated by her friend Savannah for her commitment to finding a cure for childhood cancer. Former recipients include Walter Mondale, and Governor Mark Dayton.
Largest "Clouds" Choir
Danielle, and several of her pageant sisters participated in the Largest "Clouds" Choir. There were 5,000 people lining the Rotunda at the Mall of America to sing Zach Sobiech's song "Clouds". 15th Annual KS-95 for Kids Radiothon
Danielle was excited to once again participate in the KS-95 for Kids Radiothon at the Mall of America. This was it's 15th year, and they raised a grand total of $773,049.51 to help Children's Cancer Research Fund, and Gillette Children's Specialty Hospital.
Miss Coon Rapids Pageant
Danielle went to support her good friend Bailey as she ran for Miss Coon Rapids. This was a preliminary pageant to the Miss America system. While she was there, she ran into her friend Maggie Wothe, who is Miss Teen Detroit Lakes International.
Downtown Monticello Businesses: Trick or Treating
Danielle had the opportunity to hand out candy at the Monticello Chamber of Commerce for the annual Downtown trick or treating event. About 1500 kids visited all of the businesses that evening.
Transplant Patient Education Conference
Danielle was invited to attend an educational conference exclusively for transplant patients at the University of Minnesota. They are celebrating 50 years of an extremely successful transplant program at the U. One of the pioneers of the program is Dr. John Najarian. Dr. Najarian saved Danielle's life when he performed her kidney transplant on September 23, 1993. It was a great event for everyone that attended.
Making Strides Against Breast Cancer 5K Walk
Danielle had a great time at the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk. This is an event that is near and dear to her heart, as her mom is a breast cancer survivor. She got to see some great friends, including her pageant sister Erin (Ms. Global United). It was a great event for an awesome cause.
Miracles for Max Benefit
Danielle was able to attend the Miracles for Max Benefit. Max (in the upper right pictures) is 1 year old, and battling neuroblastoma. Also there was Ms. North Star State Tracy!!! They had a great spaghetti dinner, and silent auction, along with kids activities. It was a packed house!!!
Mommy & Me Expo: Benefiting Taylored 2 You
Danielle was honored to be the greeter at the 1st Annual Mommy & Me Expo. This event benefited Taylored 2 You, which is a non-profit bringing awareness to pregnancy after a loss. There were many great vendors to shop at, along with some raffles, and of course some freebies!!!
Picnic of Hope: Childhood Cancer Survivor Picnic
Danielle was invited to the 18th Annual Picnic of Hope. This is an annual event held for childhood cancer survivors, and their families. They had a wonderful meal full of picnic classics, along with free books, hoola hooping, and free face paintings!! They also had a tree filled with tags to represent survivors, caregivers, parents, siblings, and to honor those that were taken from us far too soon.
Minnesota Brain Injury Alliance: Walk for Thought
Danielle was honored to attend the Walk for Thought with Ms. Global United Erin Caroline. Walk for Thought is a 5K walk to help bring awareness to Traumatic Brain Injuries (TBI). This was a very personal walk for Danielle, as she has several very close friends that have suffered a TBI. Her friend Kacie (far left picture) was in a horrible car accident in 2008, and suffered a TBI. One of her dance students, and her boyfriend also suffer with TBI. With every step they made that day, they were raising awareness!!
The Viking's Challenge Mud Run: Children's Cancer Research Fund
Danielle was invited to be the representative for Children's Cancer Research Fund at The Vikings Challenge Mud Run. Not only did she get to have a booth with information about CCRF, but she also got a tour of the course, and got to meet some of the racers. McCleod County Fair: Judging the Amateur Talent Contest
Danielle was honored to be the dance judge for the McCleod County Fair Talent Contest. This was her first time judging a talent contest, and was VERY impressed with the talent that performed!! Congratulations to all of the winners, and good luck to the three acts representing McCleod County at the State Fair!!
Wright County Fair: Fairest of the Fair Royal Ambassadors Coronation
As a former royal ambassador for the Wright County Fair, Danielle was honored to attend the coronation of the 2013-2014 Fairest of the Fair Ambassadors. The judges had an extremely hard decision between eight amazing candidates. Congratulations to Mercedes, Jayda, and Serena on being chosen. Also best of luck to McCall Kleve who will be representing the fair at the Minneapolis Aquatennial next summer.
Wright County Fair: Diaper Derby
Danielle got to emcee the diaper derby. This is an event that is open to babies ages 0-24 months. They crawl or walk to the finish line to win a prize!!
Wright County Fair: Misc Activities
Danielle got to enjoy the many fun activities at the Wright County Fair. She got to "milk" the milking cow, pet some baby deer, visit the old country school house, do chin up holds at the Marines booth, and do the water balls!!!!!! It was a lot of fun packed into one day!!
Wright County Fair: Cupcake Decorating Contest
Danielle was able to help at the Cupcake decorating Contest at the Wright County Fair. She also got to taste the winning cupcake "reeses peanut butter cup", which was delicious!!!
Wright County Fair: Interview with KRWC (radio for Wright County)
Danielle was honored to do a "wrap up" interview about the talent show for KRWC. She also got to talk about the Global United Pageant system, and childhood cancer awareness.
Wright County Fair: Amateur Talent Contest
Danielle was honored to emcee the Amateur Talent show at the Wright County Fair. There were 24 acts total, and the first place winners in each division will be representing Wright County at the State Fair.
River Fest Parade
Danielle was honored to participate in her home town parade during River Fest!! She would like to thank her good friends Debbie and Dave for driving her in their beautiful Mustang Convertible.
Time to Fly 2013
Danielle was honored to once again be the captain for her team Enberg's Eradicators at Time to Fly. This is a tradition in Danielle's Family, as all of the money raised goes directly to Children's Cancer Research Fund. They had a record number 2,200 participants this year and raised a record $253,000!!!

Danielle was honored to be a part of the April 16th taping of Pageantlive. The topic of the show was Prepping for a platform-based pageants. Danielle was joined by many of her fellow Global United Pageant sisters, and our Director Wendy!!!! To see the full show visit the "links" page.
Pre-Pageant Party
Danielle was elated to once again attend the annual pre-pageant party!!! It was great catching up with old friends, and meeting all of the miss contestants that are competing this year. They also had some fun trivia about the reigning queen's year, and showed a farewell video for the current state (and national) queens.
Go Red for Women: Mall of America
Danielle had the opportunity to once again volunteer for Go Red for Women at the Mall of America. She had the opportunity to volunteer in the Hands Only CPR court at the mall. Did you know that 1,000 people will suffer a sudden cardiac arrest every day? You can help by following three simple steps. 1. Call 911 2. Push 100 compression/minute (sing "stayin' alive" in your head) 3. Push HARD and FAST (push the chest down at least 2"). By knowing these three simple steps, you could save someone's life.
Pageant meet & greet
Danielle and many of the other contestants attended the annual pageant meet and greet. They all enjoyed some yummy snacks, and got a chance to talk about our platforms. It was so great getting to see old friends, and to meet new ones. Danielle is looking forward to seeing all of these wonderful ladies again soon.
Go Red for Women: Lunch & Learn
Danielle was honored to once again volunteer at the Twin Cities Lunch & Learn, as a kick-off for the Go Red for Women season. She had the opportunity to work with our reigning Mrs. and Miss International, Sarah Bazey and Krista Wanous at the diva couch. Participants had to opportunity to let their "inner diva" shine as they took amazing and fun pictures on the red couch!!!! After the morning events were done, we all sat down to a delicious heart healthy lunch. It was once again a very inspiring day for everyone that attended.
14th Annual KS-95 for Kids Radiothon
Danielle was once again invited to help at the 14th annual KS-95 for Kids radiothon benefiting Children's Cancer Research Fund and Gillette Children's Specialty Hospital. This was Danielle's third year of helping out at the radiothon. She was once again inspired by all of the kids that were featured this year. One that stuck out was Zach, who is 17 years old, and is dying of osteosarcoma (bone cancer). He has turned to music to say goodbye to his family and friends. 20 years cancer free party: Official Banner Presentation
On November 4, 2012 Danielle was officially 20 years cancer free. To celebrate this milestone in her cancer journey, she had an open house at her home for all of her family and friends. She also had her "official" banner presentation. Danielle was honored to have the current Miss International- Krista Wannous there to do the presentation. It was a wonderful day filled with memories that will last a lifetime!!
Monticello Cancer Center: Healing Garden Ground breaking Ceremony
Danielle was invited to attend a ground breaking event in her hometown of Monticello. The Monticello Cancer Center is building a healing garden for all of their patients to enjoy. Danielle was a featured speaker at the event, along with two of the physicians at the center. Danielle also put a hand print on the "Many colors of Cancer" canvas. They had paints off all different colors to represent all different forms of cancer. Danielle of course did her hand print in GOLD!!!
You're never too small to make a difference
Danielle was honored to be interviewed by the local newspapers in Buffalo. She was the featured article in both the Drummer, and the Wright Journal Press during the last week of September. Danielle was later contacted by a family whose daughter raised money for the Children's Cancer Research Fund for her 9th birthday, instead of excepting gifts. Danielle met with the family to accept the donation, and will be giving the donation to the Children's Cancer Research Fund. Larissa raised over $200 at her party, and was very excited to hear from Danielle how the money will be used for research.
Monticello Chamber of Commerce: Fall Harvest Expo
Danielle had the opportunity to attend the Fall Harvest Expo in her hometown of Monticello. While she was there she helped out at one of her sponsors (Barbara Lee's Studio of Dance) booth. She also had the opportunity to meet Congress woman Michelle Bachmann.
"Pink Street Party" in Downtown Buffalo
Danielle attended the 4th Annual Pink Street Party in downtown Buffalo. As you may have guessed, all of the money raised at the event was for Breast Cancer Awareness. Danielle was asked to be a judge for the "the pinkest in the street" contest. It was a difficult decision, but the winner was a woman from Buffalo who's nephew is battling breast cancer. She wanted to remind everyone that breast cancer also affects men.
Goin' Gold at the 35W bridge
In honor of Childhood Cancer Awareness Month the 35W bridge was lit up in GOLD!! Danielle was there, and helped tie balloons for the balloon release that they had to honor all of the warriors that have battled childhood cancer. She also had the opportunity to meet Senator Amy Klobuchar, who is a big supporter of Childhood Cancer Research. It was a very inspirational event for everyone involved!!
Shop for a Cause: Creative Kidstuff
In honor of Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, Creative Kidstuff donated 10% of their sales from September 16th to Children's Cancer Research Fund.
Wright County Fair: Fairest of the Fair Ambassador Coronation
Danielle attended the Fairest of the Fair Ambassador Coronation. Danielle was joined by many other city ambassadors to say goodbye to the outgoing Ambassadors, and to help welcome the three newest. As a former Princess of the Wright County Fair, Danielle couldn't wait to welcome the three newest Ambassadors (Caily, Cheyenne, and McCall) into the Fairest of the Fair Family. Danielle's Grandmother Gloria Triebwasser was also honored at the coronation with the Minneapolis Aquantennial's Honorary Commodore's Award winner. Danielle Was so excited for her grandmother in receiving this award.
Wright County Fair: Diaper Derby
Danielle had to opportunity to emcee one of her favorite events at the Wright County Fair. The Diaper Derby is open to any babies ages 24 months and under, and has two different divisions, the Baby Crawl, and Toddler Trot. It is a real treat being able to see what some of the youngest Fair goers are able to do.
Macy's Glamorama: Benefiting Children's Cancer Research Fund
Danielle had to opportunity to attend the Macy's Glamorama, which benefits the Children's Cancer Research Fund. The Glamorama is one of the most highly anticipated events of the year. It is a great blend of music, dance, and all of the latest fashions from Macy's. Danielle would like to thank the Board of Directors at the Children's Cancer Research Fund for donating her tickets.
Wright County Fair: Amateur Talent Contest
Danielle was honored to once again host the Wright County Fair Amateur Talent Contest. There were a total of 21 acts in three different categories, Pre-Teen (12 & under), Teen (13-18), and Open (Any Age). All of the first place winners will go down to compete at the Minnesota State Fair against other County Talent show winners. Several of the groups that Danielle helps teach at dance also competed in the show this year. At the end of the show Danielle got to speak to about 500 people about her platform: Children's Cancer Research Fund.
Wabasha Aquapalooza: Parade
Danielle was invited to be a part of the Aquapalooza parade while she was in Wabasha. She was sponsored by the Wabasha Rotary, and got to ride in a 1965 Chevrolet convertible.
Wabasha Aquapalooza: Queen's Tea
Danielle was invited to speak at the Wabasha Queen's Tea. She talked to the other ladies of the "sparkle section" about self-esteem. As a childhood cancer survivor, Danielle was bullied a lot growing up, and told the girls that attended the tea to find one thing in life that makes them truly happy. She stressed to them that once they found that one thing that makes them happy, they will find that nothing can get them down.
Miss Monticello Coronation
Danielle attended the annual Miss Monticello Coronation, where 14 young ladies were vying for the title of Miss Monticello. Congratulations to Princesses Taylor, and Kayla, and the new Miss Monticello Mylissa.
Monticello Riverfest Parade
Danielle once again participated in her hometown "riverfest" parade. The parade had a total of 150 entries, and once again pulled a very good crowd.
Delano Relay for Life: Survivor's Dinner
Danielle was asked to be the Speaker at the Survivor's dinner for the Relay for Life in Delano. She got to speak to 120 fellow cancer survivors about her cancer journey, and about her platform the Children's Cancer Research Fund.
Miss Monticello Candidate Gala
Danielle attended the Miss Monticello Candidate Gala. Danielle got a chance to say goodbye to the current Royalty, and to wish two of her dance students good luck in running for Miss Monticello.
Time to Fly: A 5K walk benefiting Children's Cancer Research Fund
Danielle and her family once again participated in the Time to Fly 5K walk for the Children's Cancer Research Fund. Danielle was joined by several of her fellow pageant sisters, as well as family and friends. Her Team "Enberg's Eradicators" raised over $500 for childhood cancer research. Danielle was also interviewed at the event about "Why we walk at Time to Fly".
Walk n' Roll
Danielle had to opportunity to promote her platform The Children's Cancer Research Fund at the Monticello Walk n' Roll. Participants could get signatures from each booth on the route, and enter in a drawing for a new bike!! Families could also get a new helmet for their children for just $3.
Danielle's Kidney Benefit
The men's group at Danielle's church had a benefit for her. All of the money raised went to a fund to help pay for Danielle's upcoming medical costs, as she waits for her second kidney transplant. Danielle was so honored to have Mrs. Minnesota International 2012, Sarah Bazey, and Miss Teen Minnesota International 2012, Gabrielle Taylor join her for this special event.
2012 Events
KS-95 for Kids: Change for Kids Party
Danielle was once again invited to attend the KS-95 for Kids "Change for Kids" private party at Nickelodeon Universe. The park was closed down just for the 800+ people that raised money to help the children of the Children's Cancer Research Fund, and Gillette Children's Specialty Hospital. A great time was had by all!!
Pre-Pageant Party
Danielle attended the Pre-Pageant party. There she mingled with other contestants, and bid on the silent auction. Some of the proceeds from the tickets to the party went to the Go Red for Women movement. All of the proceeds from the silent auction went into the Queen's Fund which will help pay for some of the Nationals expenses for the newly crowned 2012 queens.
Emmalee's Mardi Gras for Mark
Danielle was invited to attend one of her dance student's birthday parties. Emmalee just turned 14 years old, and instead of getting gifts for herself, she asked everyone to donate money for a young man named Mark. Mark is 21 years old, and was burned in a bon fire accident in October 2011. He has had to undergo numerous skin graphs, and many other procedures. Danielle was so honored to be invited to such a wonderful event.
Pitchbook Party
Danielle attended the contestant pitchbook party. She got to swap ideas with other contestants about their pitchbooks for pageant weekend.
Go Red ~ Mall of America
Danielle was honored to promote the National Platform of the International pageant system when the Mall of America went Red to promote women's heart health. While there she got to share some heart healthy tips with Mall goers, and got to meet some of the other contestants competing in this years pageant. It was a great day for everyone.
Go Red ~ Minneapolis Luncheon
Danielle was honored to help at the Minneapolis Go Red for Women Luncheon. This was a day full of true inspiration. Heart Disease is the #1 killer of women, yet it is still often seen as a "mans" disease. Danielle knows first hand what it is like to have problems with your heart. Take charge of your health, and know your cholesterol and blood pressure numbers. They could just save your life!!!
Minnesota Federation of County Fairs ~ Convention
Danielle was honored to once again attend the Minnesota Federation of County Fair's annual convention. While there she participated in many activities, and got to catch up with some great friends the Wright County Fairest of the Fair Ambassadors. Don't forget to attend the Wright County fair in Howard Lake August 1-5, 2012!!
Miss Teen Wright County ~ Banner Presentation
Danielle got the opportunity to attend the official banner presentation of Lauren, Miss Teen Wright County International 2012. She was so happy to be there to be able to support her pageant sister in this amazing journey. Welcome to the International family Lauren.
Holiday Meet and Greet
Danielle attended the International Pageant's annual Holiday Meet and Greet. There she got to see some old friends, and meet a lot of the other contestants in the Miss division. She had a wonderful time, and can't wait to see all of these beautiful ladies again soon.
13th Annual KS-95 for Kids Radiothon at the Mall of America
Danielle was honored to once again volunteer at the KS-95 for Kids Radiothon. She got to meet some other childhood cancer survivors, and a new staff member at the Children's Cancer Research Fund. Mindy is in charge of a new outreach program, and Danielle can't wait to meet with her again soon. Danielle also got to meet with two other Wilm's Tumor survivors. A Grand Total of $413,240.75 was raised over the two days of the radiothon!!!!!!
"Hats off for Cancer" Hat drive
Danielle held a hat drive for Hats off for cancer for the children at the New University of Minnesota Amplatz Children's hospital. Danielle collected over 110 hats for the kids. She got to meet some of the patients that didn't have any current contact restrictions in place. Danielle was amazed by the new state of the art hospital. Each patient now has their own room, and each room has huge windows, and a computer in it. Danielle was so glad to see that the kids have so much more now to try and make their hospital stays a little better for both the patient, and their families.
"Spooky Skate" at the Moose
Danielle got to hand out treats to all of the children at the spooky skate. She also got to hand out special gifts to kids with the most creative costumes!!!
Monticello Community Center: Kiddie Halloween parade and activity day
Danielle was asked to be in charge of the pumpkin walk at the kiddie parade activities. Also there was two of Danielle's dance students!!!
Downtown Monticello Trick or Treating
Danielle was asked to pass out candy at the 1st annual Trick or Treating of the downtown businesses of Monticello. She also got to meet another "Bumble Bee" while she was handing out candy.
Monticello Business Expo
Danielle had a booth at the Monticello Business Expo where she promoted her platform the Children's Cancer Research Fund. A huge thank you to the Monticello Chamber of Commerce for donating Danielle's booth!!
Interlachen Girl's Club golfing fundraiser
Danielle was invited by her platform the Children's Cancer Research Fund to come and speak at the pre-dinner party for the girl's club golf tournament at Interlachen country club. The girls golfed 500 holes to raise money for two of their favorite charities. Also there was Betsy Peterson of the Children's Cancer Research Fund.
Dassel Red Rooster Days
Danielle attended the Red Rooster Days Parade in Dassel. There she got to ride with the Fairest of the Fair Ambassadors on their float in the parade. She also got to meet and talk with Miss Minnesota America, Natalie Davis.
Cokato Corn Carnival: Parade
Danielle participated in the corn carnival parade, where she got to promote her platform the Children's Cancer Research Fund
Fairest of the Fair Royal Ambassador banquet and coronation
Danielle had a wonderful time at all of the events at the Wright county Fair. Congratulations to the newly crowned Fairest of the Fair Ambassadors, Allie, Mary, and Sam!! Also congratulations to Janet Beise for getting the Minneapolis Aquentennial's Commodor's award for all of her hard work she does every year at the fair!!
Hosting the "Diaper Derby" at the Wright County Fair
Danielle had the opportunity to host one of her favorite events at the Wright County Fair.....The Diaper Derby!!!! This is a contest open to "fair-goers" age 24 months and under. We have two age categories for our young crawlers, and two divisions for our walkers (or runners). The one to get from one side of the carpet to the other is the winner!!!!
Judging "Dress the Potato" and "Dress the Vegetable" contest at the Wright County Fair
Danielle was again asked to judge a fun event at the Fair. Dress the potato, and dress the vegetable is a popular kids event in the crops building at the fair. The decision was very hard, but the winner was the "Baker" summer squash!!!!
Judging the Texaco Country Showdown at the Wright County Fair
Danielle was asked by KRWC 1360 AM to judge the Texaco Country Showdown at the Wright County Fair. The winner from show will go on to compete at the state competition later on this fall.
Macy's Glamorama: Benefiting the Children's Cancer Research Fund
Danielle was invited to attend the Macy's Glamorama which benefits the Children's Cancer Research Fund!!! The featured family was Luke and Molly a brother and sister that were both diagnosed with the same rare form of childhood cancer. The main event was of course Bruno Mars, and Far East Movement. Over 150 different looks were also shown at the event that will all be available at Macy's this fall. A HUGE thank you to the Children's Cancer Research Fund's board of directors for donating Danielle's tickets to the show!!!
Hosting the Wright County Fair Amateur Talent contest
Danielle was invited to emcee the Wright county Fair's Annual Talent Contest. At the end she had to opportunity to talk about her platform, and how her story and start in life inspired her in her journey to become Miss Minnesota International. About 450 people were there!! All of the first place winners are going down to the MN state fair to compete with other talent show winners from around our great state of MN to compete in the Minnesota State Fair County Fair talent contest!!!!
Minnesota Twins Royal Sparkle Night
Danielle attended royal sparkle night at Target Field. She got to walk around the field in a pre-game ceremony. She also was on the big screen, and was circled by Bert on TV with her sign which also promoted her platform the Children's Cancer Research Fund.
Golf 4 A Cure: golf fundraiser for the Children's Cancer Research Fund
Danielle was asked by her platform the Children's Cancer Research Fund to speak at Golf 4 A Cure. This is a memorial event set up in memory of Ryan Dean Holt, a little boy who sadly lost his battle to leukemia 8 years ago. His parents put on this event every year to help raise money for the Children's Cancer Research Fund so that other families won't have to suffer the loss that they have. Danielle got to speak to about 200 people about her story and how her platform is truly making a difference in the lives of children that have been diagnosed with cancer.
Monticello Riverfest: Parade and Miss Monticello Coronation
Danielle beat the heat to participate in her home town's annual parade and Miss Monticello Coronation.
Monticello Riverfest: Arts in the Park
Danielle attended arts in the park, which showcases over 70 local artists in an art showcase in the park. She got to talk with the Monticello Royalty, and eat some very good food at the taste of Monticello event which was also going on at the park.
Monticello Riverfest: Family fun night at Pioneer Park
Danielle attended Family Fun night!! There she saw a K-9 demonstration put on by the Wright County Sheriff's Department. She also took part in her favorite event, the Hula Hoop contest!!!
Monticello Riverfest: Block Party
Danielle helped at the Monticello Riverfest block party. Some of the student's from Danielle's studio that she helps teach performed. It was a great time for everyone!!
Annandale 4th of July Parade and Miss Annandale Coronation
Danielle got to celebrate our nations birthday at the oldest celebration in Minnesota at Annandale. She participated in the morning parade, and welcomed the new 2011-2012 royal Family. Danielle was on performance team with all three of the new Annandale ambassadors, so it was a very special night for everyone!!
Miss Monticello Royalty Banquet
Danielle attended the Royalty Banquet put on by the Monticello Riverfest royalty. There the 2010-2011 Royalty said their farewells, and they met all of the candidates running for the 2011-2012 year.
Howard Lake "Good Neighbor Days" Parade and Royalty Coronation
Danielle participated in the Good neighbor days parade and Miss Howard Lake coronation. She got to introduce herself onstage and got to greet the newly crowned Howard Lake Royalty!!!
Buffalo PRCA Rodeo
Danielle attended the Buffalo Rodeo, where she got to watch her brother ride in the saddle club drill team and meet the host "rodeo clown"!!!
"Time to Fly 2011" a 5K walk benefiting the Children's Cancer Research Fund!!!
Danielle Participated in the Children's Cancer Research Fund's annual 5K walk called Time to Fly!!!! There she walked 3.2 miles to help bring awareness, and raise money for childhood cancer research!!!! She got to meet many inspirational survivors, and got re- inspired in her platform work from stories of those that lost their battles with cancer at much too young an age. Danielle was the captain of team "Enberg's Eradicators", together they raised over $250 for childhood cancer research!!
Buffalo Royalty Coronation
Danielle attended the Buffalo Royalty coronation. There she introduced herself on stage, greeted the newly crowned royalty, and met with many local community ambassadors.
Monticello Walk N' Roll
Danielle had an information table set up at the Monticello Walk N' Roll about her platform the Children's Cancer Research Fund. While there she signed event goers "pathports" and talked to people about the importance of supporting the Children's Cancer Research Fund.
Care Partners 16th Annual "Picnic of Hope"
Danielle was invited to attend the Picnic of Hope. This is a picnic that is put on for both current childhood cancer patients, and survivors. Danielle got to talk with a fellow Wilm's Tumor survivor, and several other children that are survivors. It was a very fun day for everyone.
"Laxin' for a cure" Fundraiser supporting the Children's Cancer Research Fund
Danielle had the honor of being asked to be a speaker at "Laxin' for a Cure". This was a fundraiser that was set up in honor of Samantha "Sammy" Lind who sadly lost her battle to Ewing's Sarcoma in January 2010. All of her Lacrosse team mates started this event in her memory last year. And all of the proceeds that were raised that day went to the Children's Cancer Research Fund!! Also there was Jim, who is the Director of events and corporate sponsorships for the Children's Cancer Research Fund.
KS-95 for Kids "Change for Kids" Party at Nickelodeon Universe
Danielle had the opportunity to attend a party at Nickelodeon Universe for KS-95 for Kids "Change for Kids". The park was open exclusively for people who helped raise money for the Change for Kids Drive. With Danielle was her good friend Kara who is Miss Minnesota US International!!

Maple Grove Triathlon
Danielle had the opportunity to help at the first annual Maple Grove Triathlon. Also there was Mrs. Minneapolis International Molly Nicholson. They helped out at the "little feet" booth where children got to make banners to cheer on the athletes! They also helped the athletes by removing their ankle strap, where their timing chip was located. Congratulations to all of the athletes for finishing, and a job well done!!
Cancurables booth at the State Fair
Danielle got to volunteer at the state fair at the Cancurables booth in the merchandise mart. It was started six years ago by Kristin Geer who is an ovarian cancer survivor. All of the proceeds from the "Cancurable Critters" go towards cancer research. Danielle also got to watch two of the many dance students she helps teach compete at the State fair county fair talent contest. They did an amazing job!!
International night at the Twins Game
Danielle and her brother (Josh) at "International Night" at the Twins game. The 2010 queens threw out the first pitch!! It was their first time at Target Field, and they had great seats. Danielle also got to meet some of the other contestants in the teen and Mrs divisions. Plus the Twins won the division title that night!!!
"Spudtacular" Carnival
Danielle attended the Brooklyn Park Ambassadors 1st annual kids "Spudtacular" carnival. She got to ride on the Volcans fire engine, and see a police K-9 demonstration!!
Monticello Business Expo
Danielle had the opportunity to have a booth at the Monticello Business Expo, where she got to tell people about her platform the Children's Cancer Research Fund. She also had a caricature done! Thanks to the Monticello Chamber of Commerce and Industry for donating a booth at the expo!!
Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk
Danielle was proud to be a part of team Minnesota Royalty at the Making Strides against breast cancer walk at Lake Nokomis!! It was a 5K walk, and over $100,000 dollars was raised for breast cancer research!!!! This is also very close to Danielle's heart, as her mother is a breast cancer survivor!!!!!!

Anoka Parade and Coronation
Danielle got to participate in the Anoka Grande Day Parade, and Ambassador coronation. She got to ride on a trailer with Mrs. Anoka County Int'l, Mrs. Isanti County Int'l, Mrs. Bloomington Int'l, Miss. Teen Benton County Int'l, and Miss. Minnesota US Int'l. It was a lot of fun seeing everyone in their Halloween Costumes!!!
Speaking for the West Central Christian Seniors Luncheon
Danielle got to speak at the West Central Christian Seniors luncheon in Cokato. She got to speak to about 200 people about her platform the Children's Cancer Research Fund. A big thank you to everyone who bought a butterfly pin, and donated to a great cause!!
KS-95 for Kids Family and Donor Reception
Danielle was invited to attend the KS-95 for kids radiothon donor and family reception at the BMW of Minnetonka. Seeing how those families are fighting for their children's lives, made her realize even stronger why her platform is the Children's Cancer Research Fund.
12th Annual KS-95 for Kids Radiothon at the Mall of America
Danielle had an amazing time at the KS-95 for kids radiothon in the Sears court at the Mall of America. She was interviewed live at the mall for a follow up from her taped interview they played throughout the radiothon. All donations go towards the Children's Cancer Research Fund, and the Gillette Children's Specialty Hospital!! Danielle gave $115 that she raised at speaking engagements about the Children's Cancer Research Fund!!!! And despite the 5th largest blizzard in state history hitting on the second day of the radiothon, $428,616 was raised!!!!
Skating with Santa
She had a great time at the "Skating with Santa" event at the ice arena in Monticello. Miss. Monticello Liz Temple, and Princess Kayleen Anselment were also there!!! Danielle skated the whole time without falling!! It was a great family event!!!

Minnesota Federation of County Fairs Convention
Danielle was invited to attend the Minnesota Federation of Counties Fairs annual convention held at the Sheraton South in Bloomington. She had a lot of fun!!! She got to pose on a mechanical bull, and got a balloon puppy. It was white with a pink leash, collar and bow in its hair!!! Just like her little Maltese Lulu!!!!
Twin Cities Go Red Luncheon
Danielle attended the Twin Cities Go Red for Women luncheon. It was a day full of facts on how to keep your heart healthy. Did you know that heart disease is the #1 killer of women? It will take the lives of 14 women everyday in Minnesota alone!!! Know your numbers, and take the 7simple steps it takes to stay healthy. Go Red Luncheon in St. Cloud
Danielle also volunteered at the St. Cloud Area's Go Red luncheon. The Key note speaker was Maddy Thoele who was Miss. Minnesota International 2009. She talked about her experience of being diagnosed with two major heart problems!! And how all this was happening during her reign as Miss. Minnesota. But she has not let it get her down, or change who she is!!!! She is such an inspiration to so many people!
Go Red at the Mall of America
The American Heart Association took over the Mall of America!! They had heart healthy activities, and health check-ups at all five of the major courts in the mall. Danielle was in the Sears Court, where they had a zumba fitness demo. It was a great event, that a lot of people participated in!!
Go Red booth at Anytime Fitness
Danielle got the opportunity to help at a booth at anytime fitness with Mrs. Minnesota International 2010 Susie Overvold, Mrs. Bloomington Charlotte Perz, and Mrs. St. Paul Alecia Carter. They had the chance to talk to people at the gym, and tell them about the Go Red for women movement. And how 80% of heart disease is preventable with simple lifestyle changes, such as being active, and eating healthy!!
Pizza Hut Fundraiser for the Children's Cancer Research Fund
Danielle had a pizza fundraiser to help raise money for her platform the Children's Cancer Research Fund. A big thank you to everyone who came out and helped support such a wonderful cause!!
Legacy Builders of Woodbury Gala
Danielle volunteered at the Legacy builders of Woodbury's annual Gala. She and fellow pageant contestant Debbie Larsen (Mrs. Wright County) had a great time running the "pick a card" game.
Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation's walk for a cure
Danielle had the honor of attending the JDRF walk to cure diabetes with all of the 2010 state queens. The JDRF is Mrs. Minnesota 2010 (Susie Overvold) platform. It was so moving to see so many people show up to support such a great cause!!!
Pre-Pageant Party
Danielle also attended the "pre-pageant" party. She got to catch up with friends, and meet some of the other "Miss" contestants!!!
KS-95 for Kids Change for kids turn in
Danielle participated in collecting change for the KS-95 for Kids Change for kids coin drive. There she got to talk with Jenny Phyle from the Children's Cancer Research Fund. Jenny is one of the people from the Children's Cancer Research Fund that Danielle keeps in regular contact with. All the participants that raised money earned ride wristbands for a private party to be held later at Nickelodeon Universe.
