"If you're Bitter.....You'll NEVER get Better"
This quote is one that Danielle lives by everyday of her life. On May 31, 1990 Danielle was diagnosed with stage five Wilm's Tumor (kidney cancer), and was given a less than 3% chance of survival. That diagnosis came just 12 short days before her first birthday, and gave her a passion for destroying childhood cancer ever since. The cancer took both of her kidneys, so on top of the regular chemotherapy and radiation treatments used to treat cancer; Danielle had to have dialysis done as well. That also meant that a kidney transplant had to be done in order for her to survive.
Danielle has taken her 30 years of personal experience with childhood cancer, and has turned finding a cure into her life's passion. This is why she has started to ask people if they have been told about the gold by partnering with Children's Cancer Research Fund. Ms. Enberg uses her life story to bring awareness to not only childhood cancer, but the late effects that often affect survivor's and their families. Danielle is honored to be representing Children's Cancer Research Fund as a Global United Pageant Elite Lifetime Queen!

Words of thanks and encouragement:
"Please extend our Thanks to Danielle. Danielle's story is both a miracle and a story of hope, one that really needs to be told over and over!! She is a beautiful and courageous young woman. I find it inspiring that she does not look at the "latent side effects" as a disability or a curse, especially considering how young she was when she went through so much of this, she of all people would have every right to be bitter, and yet she is not. She has a fantastic outlook!! And she is an inspiration, she was a perfect speaker."
